One of my best friends came to breakfast one day with a kind of dour face—- seems the handle on his favorite sausage stuffer gave up the ghost. Old, so new one not readily available. Can you help?
Me— sure!!
Just had to cut some stock, make measurements and go. Tried to approximate what length it used to have, even used the old ferrule.
We’ll see how he likes it, think the newer one is a little more ergonomic.
It’s shiny— poly not dried yet.
Want him happy—- real good source of trees that I like (& he doesn’t).
Learned— Bois d’Arc tough to drill, even going slow the bit walked a little.

Osage Orange (aka Bois d'Arc) is kind of hard to turn too. At least that's my take on it.

Cool! It’s fun to make something useful... especially if you can be paid in sausage!
