Smilies and accents

I use my iphone a lot to post. I cannot get smilies to show up when selected, I just see the bottom “similar threads”
The same thing happens when I select italics or bold type.
Is this something to live with??
Edit: ok, I read a little farther down, got the italics. Etc, don’t know about smilies yet

OK...clear your cache in your browsers, then look to see if they show up. I flipped a lever or 2 to finagle a doohicky on the whachamacallit....

You will have disabled the BB Code Editor. It's the [ ] button that you can see in the editor. I can also see this button was removed, so I've added it back, because if someone has the option disabled, they won't be able to re-enable it.
