After looking at all of your beautiful boxes I almost don't want to post this up here. But I made it for another member and he suggested that I should show this box off. It's rosewood and light blue epoxy. It measures 7x5x2.

Hey guys, this is all mine!!! I traded Cory a block of rosewood that was insect eaten and he turned part of it into this fantastic jewelry box. I'm lining it with a special jewelry cloth that retards tarnishing for silver jewelry. My wife is going to love it. Here's a photo of what he started with:

Hey thanks everyone, Larry I really hope you like it. That rosewood is awesom, I used odies oil as a finish and it immediately turn dark. I think it has two coats of odies on it. I think it's my favorite box that I've done so far.

Cory, it arrived just now and it's fantastic. Wife is very happy with it and is already planning which pieces of jewelry to store in it. It is much more elegant in hand than the photos can capture. What are you planning to do with the rest of the rosewood block? I think you have a great marketable product here. Just in case you need it, I have another block of rosewood that is just like the one I traded to you.

I might have to take you up on that other piece down the road, I absolutely loved working with that wood and loved the way it finished.

Good, it's not going anywhere soon. I also love working with rosewood but lots of people are sensitive to it.
