A little bi-lingual play on words there.... Finally got this done, wall art, I guess the carving forum is the best fit, although it has some turning and flat work involved. Carving was with hand and power tools and of course the trusty belt sander. Tiger maple, and Bubinga in the middle. about 28" tip to tip, poly finish.

Lizard had a close call somewhere along the line, he’s missing a toe.
Yea, I got tired at the end and just couldn't do that last toe:sarcastic: Actually I blame it on the clipart I used for my pattern, was looking at some images after I had cut out the blank and realized lizards have 5 toes all around! But it is a modular design, so If I get tired of the lizard, I can replace it with a few little stars or something, they would probably go better with the celestial theme anyhow... somehow I just got fixated with a lizard on it...

I like it with the lizard.

How did you do the colored ring?
Used some 3/8 copper tubing. Had a 3/8 cove bit I routed out the groove with. Fumed the copper with ammonia and some salt sprinkled on it.....

That’s one of the cooler things I’ve seen in a long time! Love the color, composition, and design.
