Paddle material for @Don Ratcliff 23.5 x2.25 x 18. Will have to trim to fit in lfr. Probably cut off live edge on right an get straight line. This has solid white burl, tan, spalted. Very nice piece, tight eyes.

But before I do a whole bunch of work- these will NOT ship flat rate. they are too big- I am doing one for Cody- slab is 2" x 18 x 40 - I am cutting it in half so package is 20 x 18 x 4- ships for almost $27. and no matter how I cut it it will Not fit in flat rate. $14 a bd ft

To add, a little quick math a lfr holds at most 5.5 bd ft. Slab is 10 bd ft. 2 lfr costs $38 to ship. Anything under 38 to ship this slab is cheaper than flat rate. Take it one step further. Sellers lose 3% to paypal on sh costs. Plus materials. Just part of the deal.
    I will plane a couple

Not in these. In my opinion, this is not table top material.

Folks this is spalted material. This means if you sit on it it will break. The only way it is structrual 1. Stabilize. 2 the white on the edge is not spalted. It is reg maple burl..... 3. Backer.4. I will leave this open for a couple days in case some ond wants something and close it.. :whatever:

    Mike,

If that smaller slab you posted above (4.4 bd ft) has not been spoken for I would be very interested. Do you happen to know the moisture % by chance? Thank you!

    Blessings,
    Joshua

@Randy_Cesco is before you. I think Justin is taking that one. I will plane a coupld more. Moisture. It has rained the last week. Probably 14 % last week they were 9. Good spalt is like a sponge, it goes up and down with humidity. Next month they will not register....
