Hi Chuck; I started with a Mora sloyd knife, a hook knife and a pfiel # 7 hand gouge. 2 & a half years later I've built uo that inventory to include 2 more hook knives by Jason Lonon, a # 6 bent gouge spoke shave and 2 draw knives. And I built a "bodgers bench " which is a big help. They're are tons of utube videos that can be very helpful. Try Zed Outdoors for really thorough subject coverage. That Walnut stirrer is about 7 ". If you want I'll send pictures of the bodgers bench.Nice! What are the tools of your trade for carving? Also, what is the size of this spoon? Chuck
