Located at Ames Farm in Gilford NH, this farm has been same family owned since the American Revolution, the Inn has been continuously operated since opening. Passed by many times and finally stopped on the way home from lunch this afternoon. Two old growth trees were dying and were cut down a few years ago, the massive est 250 yr old red oak was hollow and cut to the ground, this one lives on…

Hope keep up on the sealer, ash does not hold long out doors. Did you post pictures of this before? I think I have seen it, but do not visit other forums.

Agreed. Perfect place for pine tar/tung oil mix. Maybe some Borate pegs around the base.

Very cool carving and history of the establishment John. Going to have to look that one up whenever I finally get up there.
