Last month I shot a short video explaining how I get a nice, consistent, finish on my acrylic pens. I thought I would share the video here for anyone who makes acrylics or who is thinking about making an acrylic pen.

Great job on the video. I would love to see a glamour shot of the finished pen at the end of the videos

Very cool video! What is your headstock and tailstock setup? I don't know that I've ever seen that.

I was in the middle of a "production line" process making about 50 pens, when I came up with the idea of making a sanding/finishing video. I'll make sure to add the finished product when I shoot new videos.

What lathe are you using? Do I notice a delay in starting when you flip the switch? Interesting tail stock. Good tip on wetting micro mesh.

Nice video.
My process takes much less time to get great results.

It is an old Shop Fox, there is a delay on the switch and the tailstock is a replacement stock I had to get after the original one had a bolt shear off.
