    Probably not what you think of when you talk about veneering but since I used veneer I thought I'd put this here.

    It has a couple of rough edges (so to speak) but it didn't turn out too bad for the first one.

    I think these work better with paper as it's not nearly as thick but I think it's something worth pursuing further.

    Oh, and if you're interested they're called 'iris cards' and there are a lot of patterns out there. I could see something like this being scaled up and used as wall art as well.
