What wood is it?

Got this awhile ago from a guy that made natural edge furniture, he did‘nt remember what it is. Has a pleasant sweet spicy scent when cutting, is medium density, bugs like the sap wood, note the sap? pockets. Not from North America, he ordered this and another rosewood I now have too from a dealer. Any help identifying will be appreciated.

That it, all characteristics match except didn’t smell like pee, smelled like a rosewood, maybe when get in indoors and work it that will change. Thanks Mark, appreciate your help.

There are several species in the genus, so I would bet that the smells of each species could vary. Smell transferal is another possibility. I know several viburnums, sandal woods and cypresses that readily transfer smell to whatever wood they are stacked on or under.
