Been checking there, and I have a buddy who garage sales all of the time looking for me. I may offer $50 to the guy from the CL post above.

It’s funny that you are posting this. Like you, I wanted a woodworkers vice and just happen to stumble upon an auction that had two...I won :nodice: suckers are heavy, now I have to clean them up.

Yeah, shipping will likely kill any deal you might find that's not local.

But, if you've got Amazon Prime, you can get one to your door in 2 business days. I have this one on my bench and am happy with it. Or what looks to be probably the same vise, but a little cheaper here.

Or if you just want a cheapo little vise, I put one of these on the workbench I built for my boys. It works well enough that I've given thought to getting one to put on my outfeed table for those occasions I could maybe use a vise there (since I also use the outfeed table to lots of other work.) We haven't seen you post in quite some time that you've done any actual woodworking, so maybe a small little light duty hobby vise would do the trick to sit there attached to the bench, looking pretty and collecting as much dust as :old:'s lathe. :sofa:

Probably wouldn’t mind parting with one but agree with @Sprung on the shipping comment. They are pretty heavy and don’t know if they would fit in a priority mail box. Possibly if I broke it down though.

I'm definitely interested if we can keep shipping down. Any idea of the maker or model and what you would want for it?

Been broke and welded back together, rusty, kinda beat up... Why would you pay $75 and have to go after that one, when you can have a new one delivered to your door Tuesday for $58? That one would be kind of a no brainer for me, but some folks say I shop on-line too much.

I have 2 benches - 1 old wilton- 2 modern wood vises and a emmert repro. all work well. @rocky1 has a very good point. if ya want to use it a new one works fine. If you want to use it and say ya have an old one- old works fine...

Haha, well, looks like the first vise I posted is already sold. As is the table saw I posted (the Jet, not the one I posted for Tony), and the miter box.
