I've got some 1911 grips i'd trade for blanks if anyone is interested.

first set is Blue Mahoe for a Government model 1911.

next is Black Ash Burl for a Officer/Compact 1911.

and Third is Dyed and stabilized Buckeye burl for an Officer/compact model 1911.

i'm interested in Burl wood, spalted wood, Walnut Crotch, English/Turkish walnut, Elk antler, things like that. can use the following sizes.

1911 scales size 3/8" x 1-3/4" x 5" or blocks size 1" x 1-3/4" x 5"

single action scales size 1/2" x 2-1/4" x 5" or blocks size 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" x 5"

S&W N frame scales size 3/4" x 2-3/4" x 5" or blocks 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 5"

and of course i could always use larger slabs or blanks like bowl or Pepper mill blanks and cut them down to size myself.

can also make grips out of your material if the above grips don't interest you or you're wanting grips for a different model handgun.

thanks!
Zane.

Hey Zane. I might be down for another trade for some 1911 grips from some of my wood. How many knife blocks would you want in trade?

no Sir, i'm afraid not. Just 1911's and most of Ruger's handguns.

@LSCG these stabilized blanks look okay? If so, I’ll cut the spalted maple block this weekend.

Last picture of the hybrid is for my grip.

Hs anyone heard from Zane? Asked him for a grip update about a month ago but doesn’t look like he’s been on.

I have. He hasn’t been on. Just wasn’t sure if anyone knew if something was going with him. Seems like you use to be on more then He is now.

You mean he used to be on more, then, yes. He was pretty steady for a lil while.

I don't have any contact info for him. Do you you have an email for him? Send him an email?
