My understanding is that gauging interest is not allowed.
Rules are rules and I will follow but I don’t understand what harm it would cause. I’m sure there is a reason that I haven’t thought of.

Shane is correct, gauging interest is not allowed. The reason behind it is this: let's say I see some Boise d'Arc on CL for $20. I could post here that I have this piece of wood for $30, does anyone want it?? It causes many, many problems. You can post whatever you want for sale or trade. That doesn't mean you have to make a deal. If nobody offers what you want just say no thanks everyone, this is done. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Tony

If you have madrone burl veneer for sale/trade, post pics in the sale/trade forums. As Tony said, you don't have to make a deal if no one meets your price / trade requirements.
