best way to finish snakewood?

a customer recently sent me some snakewood and i was wondering if anyone has any tips on the finish? is it oily enough i can just buff it, then wipe it down with tung oil and call it a day or will it need an exterior coat of something like poly?

I use ca. Lots of thin coats....
I haven't left it uncoated cuz that stuff loves to crack.

I have a secret process for snake wood that I only do in house for just $4 a board foot. If the process fails then you get your money back, but the product won’t be any good so I’ll dispose of it for you.

On a more serious note, try Marc CA glue suggestion using a very thin CA glue like Parfix 3408 that gets below the surface. Here’s a video showing how it’s applied:
