Was watching a guys youtube video about clean armor UV finish and was wondering if anyone has used it? is it tough and durable? i have used UV resin on knife handles in the past but it dont seem durable ( finger nail makes streaks in it ) type of thing. just curious about clean armor before i buy some to play with. in the pic shows what i mean. Don't know anything about it, but looked it up and I'd go with the "tabletop" formulation for the added wear resistance. If it can stand up to tabletop use, ought to be decent for knives.

My day job is technical support for UV-cured printing inks & coatings. I'm positive that these finishes are very similar in chemical make-up.

Post your questions & the results of your experimentation when you get the product.

UV coatings can be very hard or slippery when cured. The ingredients in the formula will determine this.

Wear your PPE. Don't let it stay on your skin or clothes.

If any of you have interest in learning about UV-curing lamps and happen to find yourself in Atlanta at the IWF this week stop by the GEW booth. This company is well-known for making quality UV-curing units with many thousands of those units in usage around the world in industrial applications.

Great people who are always happy to share the knowledge of how it works.
