Clearcutting

I guess this fits into forestry news. I was having to look something up on goggle maps and as I often do I got sidetracked just browsing around looking for an alien spacecraft hidden in the forest, when I noticed this large area that had been cleared of trees and something else planted.




So of course I zoomed in to see why they cleared all those trees and discovered they cleared all those trees to plant . . .


.... a tree farm, of course.

Hmm....nice neat rows. I wonder if it was cleared for something else and plans changed? Or maybe the "plants" changed..

Ok piqued my curiosity. What's the location? And did you ever use the time slider to see when exactly (or approximately) they were cut/cleared?
