Posting to stay within the rules. I contacted @kris stratton about a trade for some casting. I've got a box of casting material headed his way for Kris to work his magic on a couple cast call blanks in return. Kris, I forgot to mention it, but I wrapped the two pieces I'd like cast with some masking tape to make them easy to identify. I'm especially looking forward to seeing how that wormy piece turns out. Thanks again!

Cool. Please show us the final results if you don't mind. We don't often get to see that. Not a rule at all just asking for the final fix. :treehugger:

I'll certainly try to remember to! If Kris doesn't get pics of the blocks posted, I'll try to remember to - as well as pics whenever I turn them into something other than blocks.

Hi Matt @Sprung ,here are your two pieces,if by chance you don't like blue/gold I can do you something else but that is your piece you wanted cast, let me know what you think. Kris image.webp image.webp image.webp

Kris - those are spectacular! Really really like them both and can't wait to put them to use!

BTW, @Kevin - you mentioned you wanted to see these after Kris has worked his magic. I'll also try and remember to post some pictures whenever I make them into something.

I LOVE that red casting!!!!!!!!!!! :good2::good2::good2::good2::good2::good2:
@kris stratton Can I ask how to achieve that color? I have a burl from Cliff that I want to cast and would love to match it up with that red. I was going to try to go with an opposing color but am really digging that red!

@Wilson's Woodworking ,this was done mixing two shades of red mica along with some pearlescent powder.if you need the exact colors I will have to go back and look ,I just usually grab something and hope for the best.

@kris stratton - Kris, the blanks arrived today. Even better in person! Can't wait to use them - soon as I figure out a project worthy of using them on.
