I am offering a few Applewood boards for sale. I forgot I had these stashed. They were processed in 2001, so the few cracks and knots in them are quite stable, and haven't advanced in years. They were air dried, and show a bit of water stain from a leaky roof, but they have nice color. Fruitwood is well known for a high rate of degrade when drying, so what you see is what you get, but there is ample room on that thick (1") one to cut out some fine saw handles or work them for box lids. I left the wany edges, thinking someone may want that feature.

The upper, top board is 21" x 8-1/2" at one end, 7-1/2" at the other, and 3/4" thick. It has a center crack that reaches about 1/2 the way into the board.
The lower, front-most board is 18-1/2" x 8" or 7-1/2" x 1" thick, and the 2" x 2" turning blank is 10-3/4" long, with a crack marked at each end on one side.

The little one on the right will be included as a filler; it's a cut-off of the 2x2 turning blank, and is only 1/2" thick, 2 x 10-3/4" .
I'm asking $35 for the lot, plus $15.45 shipping in a LRFB, total $50.45.
Apple wood is excellent turning wood. It's a bit hard for carving, but holds fine detail very well. Here's an additional shot of it turned and burnished, with only wax on. It has a light pinkish tinge when polished up.
