So, I know Im new here,, but is this stuff for Trade or Sale???:read:

Good point ! I am willing to trade, but I still need a $ value to find an equal trade.
That is one thing you can always change here burlguy72. You can sell something thats posted in barter, or trade something posted in for sale.
Say I offered to buy them first, but you offered to trade for them first. He could skip my offer for $ and take your offer for trade.
Or if I offered Texas Ebony for trade first, and you offered BAB for trade. He could skip my offer if he would rather have the BAB.
As long as he rejects my offer openly in the post, and seals the deal with you openly.
Thats my understanding of the rules anyway. I dont think anyone here wants rules just to have rules, its really just guidelines so every deal is kept as fair as possible and in the open :drinks:

For what's left 50$. But I only threw out a few smaller teasers. I have up to 13 x13x 6 I believe I will check when I get home I am in the mountains I have 15 on the ground now
If you have other burl that I may be interested in that would be great I am easy going

Nice looking stuff. Can't offer anything though, I'm trying to ban myself from getting any more stock until I turn the wood I have and keep it from checking:help::help:.

so today was productive and should have a lot to trade or sell.

i don't even know how many cherry burls i grabbed today, all i know is my truck was driving like a boat going down the road.

the last burl should have been the first one i dropped this morning. i didn't realize how big it was until it hit the ground :sarcastic:
it was well over 300 lbs :lolol::wacko3: and i was on my last chain lol
i had to chunk that big sucker right in the woods.

this one also grew on swampy area. i am wondering if the way the grain pattern and color have anything to do with that. really no eye, as the last one didn't have either.
i opened her up, and this is what she looked like.
I was doing a little bit of a dance in the woods

I've got some really gnarly FBEB that would work best for some ornaments or a neat pen. Tried a bowl and the rotten center kind of messed it up :dunno:. Anyway I have a small branch of the stuff if interested.

This is that messed up bowl:

that is some pretty wood, but i am not sure, even with my vacume chamber, that i can work with that?
what is the over all dimensions?
how deep are those voids. i can do some inlay work but don't want to take away from the overall beauty of the timber!!!

Mike, my father kinda put his claim on the largest bowl blank. he is the man:cool::cool: he gets first dibs on anything i harvest

but i do have one thats close to that size and i have around 20 to cut up, so no worries if you don't want this one!!!

here it is
10 x 13 1/2 x 5 1 /2
like i said i have more to saw
may or may not get this size but you can hold off and wait if you want, i won't let go of the piece until you decide!
it has some bark left on the outside. i didn't want to keep trimming it knowing i would turn it anyhow.

Jeff, No hurry. I will be cutting it into inlay material or- it will not be turned. I will wait if you can sell or trade it- do so. I am not in need of any wood. You have nice stuff .

here are some more chunks o burl
the two are cherry
the other two that you can't really see the grain, is maple burl and it is hands down the prettiest i have ever seen. the color in this is one of a kind. the sapwood of this is all curly maple and the heart is red/black/green/brown/white.

here they are. looking for something equal to these beauties!
i posted a pic of a piece of the maple burl so you get an idea as to what i am talking about!

this is just a piece that i fresh sawed
[attachment=10675]

the smaller one is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x3 the larger one is 6 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 3 1/2
[attachment=10676]

[attachment=10677]
