I turned some bowls out of this wood. Neighbor cut down some huge trees a few years ago. I think I have one of them at my parents house. Going to check tomorrow if I can get over there. Turns easy. Grain makes nice lines in it when finished.

Catalpa is one of the light coloured woods with the highest chatoyance (see https://www.chatometry.com/catalpa/ )

If I were able to turn and if I lived in the US I would definitely buy this!!!!
