I have some Brazilian Koa (Tigerwood) cutoffs from a recent flooring installation. 3/4" thick Widths vary but max width is 5 inches (original width of boards). Lengths vary from 2 inches to about 6 feet so I can cut some longer narrow pieces.

Most of the cutoffs are blond color right now but they darken up to a nice reddish brown color over time.

I have glued these up to make mallets in the WWT "great mallet swap" a few years back and other projects.

I think I have about 30 pounds of the stuff and you pay shipping, nothing more. If you want to make a trade, let me know what ideas you have but otherwise I'm just offering up for cost of shipping.

For those who make calls (Turkey, deer) I'd be up for something along those lines for trade if it's in the realm of possibility. (I have no idea what custom calls go for as far as price so I may be out of my mind and not know it.)

EDIT: Just did some research and it looks like this is most likely Goncolo Alves. If anyone cares, it's "Bellawood" flooring from Lumber Liquidators.

A couple pics comparing colors of "blond" versus "aged". These give some indication of the types of grain pattern you might get too. As I understand it the color change is due to light, not air, so if you use a spar varnish of some kind you should be able to keep the lighter coloring.

Good looking stuff, but I have to pass. Turns out some SOB forgot to water the money tree.

Wow, those are both the same species? That is incredible how much the look changes over time. Really beautiful stuff! Is it tongue and groove?

Yep, same species. The "aged" pic doesn't show how red some of the pieces get but it gives you an idea. Yes the pieces that were chopped lengthwise are tongue and groove. The ripped pieces are obviously missing either one or the other.

@justallan, I have plenty so if you come up with money and interest at the same time, just let me know. I have cutoffs from ~600 square feet of flooring so there's lots of scrap and it's currently just taking up space in my garage/shop. I can't bring myself to get rid of it though because it's so damn pretty.
