**ENDED** Mineral Stained Holly?

Very pretty wood. Is it dry? If not get it sealed. Holly is a biatch to dry. It moves like crazy. How big are the pieces and what are you looking to trade?

EDIT: Just realized this is the general trade discussion forum. Is this for trade and if so do you want me to move it? Or are you just inquiring if it is mineral stained?

Is it dry, because i had a nightmare with drying an entire tree of it..every single piece warped, like a contortionist! Luckily i saved some in the round because it didnt even check on the end, it was is quite stable in round..at least mine is.

Unfortunately i dont have much in the way of bowl size blanks but ill list a few.. I just got some Chestnut, 3x12x30". Air dried, non figured...i have dogwood log sections i would need to cut, it has really great grain..air dried as well. And next week i have so e Yellow Cedar burl coming..you might want to wIt for that because it is more than what we expect for ycb :).

Air dried, non figured...i have dogwood log sections i would need to cut, it has really great grain..air dried as well. I havent had much problem with this cracking as long as I rough turn it first, I think I have some that is dry,, if not Ill have to go get more out the woods kinda of thing,, msg me over the weekend and stay on me, i been pretty busy lately

Guess I'm gonna hafta clean my glasses! Read it the same way twice and was wrong both times! Hate when that happens!

The chestnut is 32" long, 12" wide and 3" thick. No checking and its just over 8% moisture at 5.4 hardness

Its in :). Picked it up wednesday..beautiful piece of burl. Much smaller than i imagined but at least the quality is there. Ohhh boy is it there. Im going to clean it up today and post some pics. What is it you are looking for..size wise? Its 2" thick, rough.
 
So, if my math is correct, that's an $80.00 board? (Plus shipping, of course.) If another deal I have pending for some persimmon I have for sale, I would definitely be interested! I should know in a day I or two.
