7/8" x 12 7/8" x 35 3/8" Sapele is a mahogany substitute and has characteristics almost identical to mahogany except that it does not take on the patina of genuine mahogany that is properly treated as it ages.
I bought this particular piece because of the beautiful grain pattern and have never had the heart to cut it into little pieces for use in my segmented bowls --- I think it should be used in a bigger project but I almost never do big projects, so this is a good opportunity to get it into the hands of someone who will make good use of it.
