**ENDED** Walnut root (sale or trade)

I milled this and it has been seasoning for 4+ years. It could be used for a gun stock-pistol grips-turning stock-tobacco pipe making-whatever ? It has a nice mix of heartwood and lighter sapwood.

It is 8'' wide at the narrowest, 15'' at the widest point, 33'' long and 2 1/2'' thick. NOTE: for a possible gun stock there is endgrain about 20'' from the square cut end (or top of stump as it was in the ground) This endgrain is roots as they grew from the base. I thought I should mention that, not being a stock maker myself, but assuming the endgrain is not desired.

This will be updated with better pictures soon (camera phone on a rainy day) I will price this once the better pics are up, or feel free to shoot me an offer. I'm pretty easy to work with and I would like to see this piece go to a good home.

Looks like it.Grin I hope everyone is happy with the deal. I had a hard time pricing the piece. I know the exact same stock (from the same stump) I sold a few similar chunks on feebay 2+ years ago (listed as not yet fully seasoned) for $50-$80 + shipping and the buyers were satisfied, I have 100% positive feedback there.
Shipping has went up since then, but I was not sure about the market so I went over there and had a peek. This link will die, but I searched ''walnut root'' on ebay and this seller with 100% positive feedback is selling a single little piece 5''x2''x1'' for $28 and $10 shipping (I swiped his picture from the listing and added it below)...So half the money of my piece I listed here and the chunk here could be cut into at least 3 dozen of what he has listed.
Not saying for sure he will get his asking price, or that feebay should be our yardstick here. But I am saying there are only 2 listings for walnut root there (same guy), if you can only find 2 on all of ebay it must not be all that common.

No problem, stuff happens. I will try to get the walnut shipped tomorrow, Wednesday at the latest.

I have interesting slabs of figured lumber that can fit on a pallet, let me do some looking (I'm slow sometimes, I ask for patience) I am still looking for other requests here that I have not gotten to yet I have many things to list here, I've just been dragging my feet/and sorta busy.

Search for "Walnut Wood Root"... there is a whole Burl for a lot less per BFT than that little piece of scrap...
