Thank you to the brothers that helped me out getting into this pen turning thing. I have only turned maybe a dozen or so, maybe 15... so be nice! Haha I'm learning everyday. I went and invested a couple hundred into some other kits, a few hybrid blanks, a pen press and I'm gonna give it a real shot, if nothing else I'll have plenty of gifts to give. Thank you folks again for welcoming me into the community!

I really am, I like the smaller intricate things. Been working on captive ring finials too. So much fun. Lord willing it can one day pay the bills

Pens are cool because you can finish up a pen pretty quickly. And because they are fun to give away.

Congrats! I don’t turn pens, but I expect the more you do the ”easier” it gets! Looking great! Chuck

Have you considered, once you get your practice, a captive ring on the upper portion of a pen.. maybe leave the pocket clip off that particular pen?
I and my wife have done several with "grips" on the lower portion and whatever decorative spindle stuff we wanted on the upper portion sometimes you have to modify the clip by rebending it to accommodate the larger barrel.

I love this idea, I'm gonna try it for sure! Have any pics I could get some inspiration from?

Great looking pens! You photography is impressive too, clear and close up!

Hey thanks friend! I appreciate the love! This is turning into a great hobby. My niece actually took the pictures for me, I'm terrible with cameras 🤣
