Here are my first two projects As a new woodturner completed on my new Rikon 70-220 vsr lathe. These aren’t perfect but for my first attempt I thought they show some promise that a can actually make something useful. I appreciate all the things I have learned as a member of woodbarter.

The bowl is from a slice of a walnut log that I got a few logs locally and the snowman is made from maple and walnut blanks with milliput.

Welcome to the slippery slope of wood turning!

They both look great, irrespective of being your first projects. The snowman is fantastic!!
