That makes a lot more sense now!! Hadn't thought of carving a bowl!! Heck, that's something i could do when the power is out--might have to broaden my horizons. Cool looking chisel for sure!!

I really think it was more the eyes rather than the rust! Well, that and the low light in the selling shed.

I think those places use the dim lights as a tactic against us. Too many years crawling around attics, cellars and crawlspaces inspecting houses with way too bright of a flashlight, for a long time I couldn't see a damn think if it didn't have a thousand candlepower light on it.

Ah, I knew there was another I just couldn't remember, head just can't seem to get out of low gear lately, but it's Butcher, not Batcher. Also good stuff, should take a nice fine edge.

Easily half of those I've ever seen are barely legible or illegible but you can make out enough to associate the rest. The stamps didn't always make a perfect impression. More often than not, far from it.
Looking forward to seeing it all cleaned up.
