Had a customer request these "thru the rod " ice fishing handles. For those not in the know, the fishing line is threaded up thur the handle
and then thru the hollow rod. A spring bobber is attached to the end which the line is threaded thru as well. Great pole for the pan fish.
The rod is usually about 36" long or thereabouts.
The hybrid handles are all red oak burl with the colors shown. The all wood are mahogany, black walnut and ERC.

Very nice!! I have a customer that makes custom rods and would someday like to get a nice ice fishing rod. It's amazing the difference fishing with a Walmart cheapie and a one built specifically for the purpose!! Nice work.

I jes dunno why all y'alls up north like like to go fishing ice. Down here all we have to do is to go to the freezer and git some ice!

Ice fishing isn't in my bag of tricks but I will say it's better than just sitting inside waiting for winter to be over.

Lil Money's astute observation. When fly fishing on a frozen river - all flies are dry flies and you don't catch many fish!!
