Hi everyone, I have been checking in on and off as a guest and now as a member. I have been woodturning for over 25 years and do some flatwork but I primarily work in the round so to speak. I live in New Hampshire. For me 1/2 the fun of woodworking is finding that special piece of burly, curly sometimes bug eaten wood.

Thanks, I recently moved and am just getting the shop set up and back into some turning. I have a Powermatic, a Jet midi and a Rikon mini lathe.

Welcome! Live free or die! Way cooler than “If you seek a beautiful peninsula look about you”. Where abouts in NH you located? My FIL is originally from North Hampton, my wife and I lived in Exeter for while.

Welcome from southeastern Massachusetts. I agree with looking for wood on the forest floor. There's plenty of variety to be found right here in New England. Enjoy the site
