I think I have the walnut. How many pieces that size did you need?
I'll look in the morning.
Were you looking for figured maple?

^But flat rate shipping will take the cost of shipping out and will not matter if the wood is located in the west coast or the east coast from the buyers location- including Hawaii and Alaska.

^Flat rate will be the cheapest based on the 2 medium size box. It won’t be worth your while to buy a couple of pieces in 1/4” thickness that is 12” x 4-6” dimensions and pay the ridiculous shipping cost they charge these days. You can get 12 panels (.250”) to fit into medium flat rate box and will cost the recipient $ 15.50. Priority mail 2 day rate will cost about $ 34.45. USPS retail ground cost is a joke at $ 31.45 (estimated 5 business days supposedly) which is their answer and competitive pricing with other carriers that offers that service. It cost $ 16.00 priority mail from NY to NC. That rate was calculated from Washington State to North Carolina for a 7 pound billable weight. There is also a flat rate cost that UPS ground also offers.

My point is that it is not worthwhile to ship 3-4 pieces of the said size wood as that will easily cost a minimum of $ 10.00. He ships to his adjacent state of SC or VA that would be the minimum cost. To me personally that does not make financial sense- I am sure I am not the only one on this board that feels that way.

True if you assume that flat rate is going to be the cheapest. We don't yet know what quantities are going to be involved.
Been here for 10 years in Nov. Your statement could be true but chances are against you. I have never sent a crate here. Largest fed ex was probably to Kevin. And there are other factors involved... like figure and price.

not needing anything fancy, i will be cutting them down to approx 2x3 to make key chains.
Flat rate box is fine, just need that thickness and width to make less waste on the cnc.

I think I have some Mesquite that thickness if you need it.
