I am looking for some pieces of Mexican Cypress (Cupressus lusitanica), also called Portugese Cypress, cedar-of-Goa (among other things). I can't find a single piece of it for sale online anywhere, but I may just be searching poorly. Does anyone have any sources, or any pieces they'd be willing to part with?

At this point I'm just looking for anything, regardless of size. Just a turning square that's 1' or so long would be really nice. Hopefully something is out there :)

Thanks. Do you know the sizes of the samples? And if he has samples, does he stock other sizes/pieces?
Click the link. Gary has reference samples, 3" wide by 6" long by 1/2" thick. Follow his link and send him an e-mail, sure he can at least tell you where he got his stock.

So Gary's samples came from Australia, and there isn't much to go on over there. He recommends trying to get it from Mexico if you want some quality Mexican Cypress. So I'm back to square one.

This company in Guatemala appears to have it, and they seem like a good company. https://izabalwood.com/izabals-wood-species/

I've never tried to buy direct from Central America though. It sounds difficult, and possibly expensive even for small pieces.
