Missing a Friend

While in high school a friend and I decided to start a band. We played in their basement with his little brother playing bass. I don't think we ever actually played a paying job together but that was the start. He later formed several groups and entertained locally. I went on and played in several different bands. Howie stuck with the guitar and classic rock and country and I went into big band swing.
I just got word he passed away with cancer. Rest in Peace my friend.

Thank you all. It's not that I've been in touch lately but it's like a piece of you dies too. Some people in life touch you in a unique way and become a part of who you are, Howie was one such person. No funeral, but a big party later. Sounds about right.
