You can now put your website link right below your avatar. Here's how:

homepage link.webp

Go to your visitor link and select Personal Details...
homepage link2.webp

The just add your website url in the proper field. you're done!
homepage link3.webp

Mine is www Woodturnersinthongs. Is that acceptable ? :scare3:

Wouldn't you rather link your powder creek sawmill page than this site? Seems kind of redundant to link wb.

Also, should I remove mine, cuz it's not really my site, I just run it....

We've always allowed anyone to link any family oriented site they want to link both in their sig line and now in their post bit. Just last night over at arborist site I tried to share the url of a Swedish chainsaw forum with another member in a PM no less and when I clicked submit it came up all asterisks. So I had to edit it and spell it out with spaces and phonetics. I don't understand why most forums don't allow members to share and/or promote other forums or sites with other members if it's for informational purposes.

We've never been afraid to allow members to do that even in posts if it's for informational purposes. The only thing we prohibit is members promoting their own websites in the post itself because that would get out of hand . . . some guys would be plastering every post with links and it would be nothing more than spam. But they've always been allowed to have them right there in their sig line, and now they can put them in their post bit and it can be a different one than in their sig line if they want. We don't allow links such as Tony and Henry's Nude Ballet for Prissy Woodworkers or things like that but pretty much anything else goes.

For those that don't know the post bit is the box where the avatar and location etc. is.

Yea, I don't get that either. I know some sites won't let you post commercial sites cause it may compete with their sponsors, seems contrary to the free exchange of information that I like about forms like Woodbarter
