I am looking for some Pink Ivory for a few projects! I know the color fades quickly but I want to enjoy it while it lasts, and I have a client who is very set on Pink Ivory for a piece. I ordered one off eBay a few weeks ago, but it was lost in shipping, so hoping to find a replacement from here!

Specific sizes I would like are a piece at least 6" x 6" x 3/4" - 1"., and perhaps a small bowl size 4" x 4" x 2". The bigger the better.
Also open to offcuts, especially pieces 10" long for chopsticks. Show me what you have!

Beautiful pieces Mike!! That stash has me drooling! looks like the first photo is a collection of the sizes I was asking about? I would like them, just let me know the details and how we should proceed, its my first trade on here.

These pieces might be too small for you as they almost all measure around 9-9.5” long. Nice pieces I processed out of a half-log recently. I cut a few to pen blank size. Biggest piece is 2.75” sq x 9.25”. All really solid and mostly good pink colors with some lighter pink cut from edge of sapwood. Can post more pics if interested.

Total weight about 6 pounds - asking $70 plus shipping.

Looks like Mike has you well covered. I do have a board that may have had some potential. I’ve taped off part I’m wanting to keep, leaving 6-1/4” x 6-1/4” x 1-3/8”. I sanded partially. There is a small split about 1” visible on both sides and a hairline split along heartwood to sapwood line. Dry in shop 8 yrs plus.
The long line in the middle of the piece is actually just a planer mark not a crack.

Slightly off-topic, but I hope this is OK.
I have the chance to buy a pink ivory log, about 11" long, cross section 8.5 x 7". Any estimates for a price? I can't see a full-width log online for comparison.
I won't know what the heartwood colour is like until it's cut and it has a few cracks reaching about 1" from the outside.
I'm not planning to profit from markup, I just want to offer a fair price to a valued contact.
Thanks!

If you use the "search function" and type in Pink Ivory you will see examples of wood that has sold on WB. Typically the sales include the sizes and prices. You can calculate the board ft/price by looking at this data. I typically will charge based on a price per pound (which you can also calculate based on the size of the piece).

There is "basic pricing" (averages) and then there are premiums dependent on the higher quality of some pieces. Logs typically sell for less than wood that has been cut and processed because:

Logs are a gamble until you cut them open and I wouldn't pay a whole lot more than 1/2-2/3 compared to the price of wood that's been processed and pictured for the two main reasons:
1. You can't see what's "inside"
2. The seller has done little to no work to sell it..........like sawing (other than the basic photographing and measuring/weighing)
* that's my opinion anway.

In my experience, with any logs, there is a LOT of waste when cutting them into usable wood. And I would echo the unknown factor of what’s actually inside the log. Bottom line, proceed on the purchase but be conservative on your offer. Chuck

There's been a pink ivory log near me listed at $2500usd, 20 to 24" wide, 24" tall. Hasn't sold at that price for 6 months or so, was considering offering a lower value.

Beautiful piece thanks Mike I will take it.
Probably does not matter but I just noticed i only pictured 3 sides. Ugliest side below. Solid, looks like the sap is gone. I bought a large crotch piece and cut right down center. Some curl. Got it boxed and will get shipping later today.
