I’m looking for several pieces of plum wood turning blanks for another bagpipe project. Looking for 1.5” x 1.5” x 16-18” in dimensions.

If I cut a plum now it would crack before hit the ground. 100+ today

I don't doubt it. It would like to crack while growing, I think.
All my fruit wood loves to crack with great zeal

Mike can't be bothered with cutting or chopping tools - he just pushes them over with his tractor.
