Hello Everyone!
A little background, we started an Etsy shop selling Manzanita, mostly for fish and reptiles but also for home decor. It has been going surprisingly well (and we really are so thankful). To process the wood, we shape it, pressure wash it and then polish it. I have included pics of 2 sample pieces for reference. We (bf and myself) obviously don't want to use any chemical on it. To polish it, we are using a gentle wire brush on a drill. Everyone has been quite happy with our product, but I was wondering if there was a way to improve on the polishing aspect of it. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to polish this stuff another way? We have a DeWalt angle grinder we could also use. We are processing quite a bit of Manzanita, so I wouldn't even object to buying a specialty tool if that would make it easier. I've seen nylon polishing brushes (please see pic) and was wondering if they would work. Thanks in advance!
Jen

Just thinking tools, an angle grinder will hold up better than a drill, but if it's taking only gentle pressure, maybe not much difference.

Also a consideration, how is the wood being held while brushing? If you have a good way to hold the wood, I would lean towards using the angle grinder with two hands. Don't know if the nylon brush is rated for the angle grinder, but if so, would definitely give it a try as long as you have a good way to secure the wood while working.
