Hi guys, I'm working my first wood project and coming to the finish. I'm using old barn wood and making a kitchen table. The wood is oak, but, white, not entirely sure. I made a center piece out of boards containing worm holes and am experimenting with casting resin to leave the holes transparent. I'd like to coat the wood with polyurethane. Going to test it myself on a different piece though am looking for tips or obvious answers that I might be unaware of. Will the poly color my casting resin if it's been sanded and buffed? Thanks for any responses.
