Problem with Amazon links

When I try to post a link to Amazon, it displays a generic Amazon ad, instead of the actual link.
I have to post the item description instead for it to appear.
Anyone know what's going on?

use the link option just above the post box. Type a word in the post box...
cut/copy the page link you want.
highlight the word...or words...
then click the link option and insert the webpage in the pop up box.

it sounds harder than it is.....

link to amazon page just make sure after you type the word you are going to link, you enter a space or it will look like this

Oh...another way is to remove the letters and the forward slashes... before www.
The ones that say https://

First link is by removing the https://www after pasting into the link box

Second link is by using bitly.com to shorten the URL. Same thing though, you have to remove the https:// in the front after pasting into the link box.
