Unfortunately last week I had to have my German shepherd put down. Naturally I plan on making her urn. Have narrowed down my design and in need of some red heart or blood wood lumber, something nice and red. Needing 4/4, 5” wide or so would be nice or at least a couple pieces, and preferably 18” or 23” long, whatever can fit length wise in a game flat rate box. Could probably use 3 or 4 pieces that big, anyone have any?

Haven’t worked with red heart before but not a fan of padauk having open pours. Been awhile since I’ve used blood wood as well, just want something nice and red for segmented suns im making, and hoping the dust doesn’t mess with the maple I’ll have in the piece like padauk usually does.

Bloodwood 8/4 2×4×60 can cut to yours pcs,
Only redheart is 3x8x8

Sorry about your dog Joe, that really sucks man.

Sorry to hear. Had to put my german shepherd down last year.

FYI,
I just finished a piece with maple and red heart. Had some issues with dust messing with the maple. Wood bleach on the maple helped quite abit.

Thanks for the tag, Chuck, but I am sold out of both.

Joseph, we've had two German shepherds and they were the most loyal breed we've every had. They both were like full members of the family and very protective of the kids when they were young. A great breed of dog.

Yea she was a great dog, always loving and gentle, never growled aggressively at anyone. Barked at strangers like she was mean haha, so didn’t have to worry about anyone getting close. Worst part was my 3.5 year old son wondering where his friend went, that’s probably what tore me up the most.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I don't have blood wood or red heart, but do have jatoba (brazilian cherry) which is very hard, dense, and goes well with maple. 5" wide is no problem, I have some pieces that are 18"+. If you want to come pick up a few pieces you're more than welcome to, just let me know to make sure I'll be here.

I have a piece of Redheart that is 7/8ths thick, 6.25" wide by 38.5 long. It is 1/4 sawn on one end. Just got it from Bell Forest Products but did not need the whole thing. They hit me for $42 for the thing. I realize it is less than you want. If you come up short and want some, let me know.
