Thanks Dan. What would your preference be, as far as checkering?Looking good. The checkering is a bit excessive in my opinion also.
I actually don’t like checkering at all. I like to see the wood. (I know that this gives a different grip) I actually prefer a scalloped grip. Thanks Dan. What would your preference be, as far as checkering?
No problem, thanks for the input. Can you describe a "scalloped" grip? That could be something I would consider making.I actually don’t like checkering at all. I like to see the wood. (I know that this gives a different grip) I actually prefer a scalloped grip.
Thank you Chuck. Everything going good there in "big T" ?Spectacular! Deep, rich effervescence! Chuck
For the most part. Getting time in the shop is a bit of a challenge at times, amidst trying to balance all of life’s demands. But I do have quite a few projects in progress. Fortunately, I have a generous amount of space to work in, reasonably good equipment, and a healthy supply of wood. ChuckThank you Chuck. Everything going good there in "big T" ?
Hmm. I don’t have one for a pic but it’s where you use a wide sweep gouge or wide ball tip on an angle grinder to make a texture that feels like someone pressed stones into the wood.No problem, thanks for the input. Roger that. Sounds like an interesting effect. ThanksHmm. I don’t have one for a pic but it’s where you use a wide sweep gouge or wide ball tip on an angle grinder to make a texture that feels like someone pressed stones into the wood.
If you press some smooth stones into some balsa wood or sand you will get the right texture. Don’t push them in far. Just a little and keep them close.
Thanks Mike. Doing okay, just getting older! LOLExquisite Curt! How's everybody doing?
Thanks Alan.Just perfect.
