Very nice, Tom. You deserve a nice whisky this evening.

Out of curiosity, how long did each slab take? Are you happy with the finish? Require much sanding effort, or clean enough off the router?

Henry, using a 2” bit I took light cuts, maybe an inch (half the bit diameter) and 1/16 to 1/8 deep depending on how off the slab was. Then made 2 or 3 passes, lowering the bit. Probably no more than 10-15 minutes per side once it was cleated down so it would not move.

It will require sanding but that shouldn’t take long.

It does make a heck of a mess, so if there is anyway to do it outside, that’s my recommendation. It will fill the shop vac in no time.

Bunnahabhain or maybe The Balvenie is in order me thinks.
