Hi, I found a sweet little Disston back saw and am restoring it. I have cleaned the blade as clean as I want but the etch is visible and i can read most of it but i would like to make it a little clearer. Is there something I can use to remove the black but not damage the etch. I think some body cleaned it before because when I started on it the etch looked like it had already been worked on. Thanks Mike

Have done a few handplanes. But I also really like the couple of Japanese pull saws I have - I like cutting with them a lot better than western style hand saws.
