Nicely striped piece of Malaysian Blackwood with a sappy corner, measuring 1 31/32" x 6" x 10 3/16". Air-dried 15 years. Has a few checks, but they are mostly in the sapwood. I CA glued the end grain and checks.

Asking $50 + pirate shipping

I got more where this came from. Just listing this one block to gage interest.

I don't see a problem in it. Has this piece for sale with size and price like it should be. Letting others know there are others if this one sells.

According to everything I've seen with malaysian blackwood, the botanical name is unconfirmed. Some list it as Diospyros ebonesea, others just say Diospyros spp. I have it labeled d. Ebonesea because that's what it was marketed as when I bought it. I usually just stick to that unless i have reason to believe it's incorrect.

I'm desperately trying to revive my home gym, but now its my designated epoxy area (and wood labeling area too, apparently). I really need to get my basement organized. Its out of control!
 
You have anymore of this? Thick enough for a bowl blank and with both colors to produce a two tone(black and white) bowl? If so pm me price and pic!

I definitely have more. I have a few more pieces of 8/4. I'll have to measure the exact thickness, but generally speaking about 2" is as thick as i have. When you say two tone, are you referring to heartwood and sapwood or the striped heartwood?
 
Heartwood and sapwood. Like the 2 bigger ones in the pic with the workout equipment. I can get a bowl out of 2” thick. Would be a shallow bowl like a church offering plate! Thicker would be better but I turn 2” when that’s what I get…lol
