Kid was playing a bunch of his stuff a few weeks ago..interesting story.

Guess he got pretty bent out of shape in 2017 over a CMA snub, not even nominated. So he's gone pretty "progressive" in his newer stuff and become the anti establishment poster child

This was in '13

Right on...but ya know the Big Garth Brooks comeback tour?

That is a marketing ploy to reintroduce some "somewhat" traditional 90's stuff back into the scene.

We watched his big concert at Notre Dame Nat'l televised, and if I heard right he talked about being proud of listening to his kinda stuff and a little more "country" in general. Not that he's THAT traditional, but it shows how far it's come even since his hay day.

Other than a few cool rock medleys, everything was his traditional stuff.

We've actually tried to get tickets, but as soon as the sales time hits there gone. Closed presales gets 90% of the tickets.

Yeah they need to do something, just had this discussion with one of the kids I work with the other day. He agrees it isn't country anymore and he's only 21. He said it's all hip hop now, I told him it was that or 70s rock and roll one. Eric church song came on we didn't even know who was singing. Told him that one one was 70s Motown.

I think they finally realized maybe their getn a little sidetracked, geez wasn't that long ago Steven Tyler was chosen as a focal point....huh??

Thanks for posting, wasn't familiar with this guy, although I listen to "Outlaw Country" on Sirrius XM I'm my shop sometimes, probably heard him on there before and didn't know it, my kind of country.....

One of my favorite artists... again Pure Country, about 90% of what he sings is Honky Tonk music of this nature.

The wife and I love listening to Sturgill. We took a trip down to Austin to his show at the amphitheater inside the racetrack. Fabulous concert. That was around 2017. We'll do it again when the opportunity arises.

Life needs more Sturgill music. Great for sitting on the patio while the smoker does its job on dinner.
