Do you mean sycamore syrup, as in collecting sap and boiling it down?
It's a new product that hasn't hit the market, yet. Developed by a callmaker, it is currently in limited distribution to a group of fellow callmakers to get their input and validate the creator's experience with it. I am not among them so haven't trialed it myself, but have talked with a couple who have and who are quite happy with it and expect to convert fully to it from their previous favorites (velvit oils, etc.). I have not had in depth discussions so can't offer specific likes - but generally speaking the callmaker community prefers finishes that apply easily (dipping is a favorite), cures quickly, and doesn't require a large number of coats to achieve a rich, deep finish. As I understand it the creator is currently collecting a list of folks who might be interested when it becomes commercially available. I'll try to find out more.
Very pretty much covered it. I think it will be readily available at summer end. I have not tried it but many love it.
