Size is on it. Minimal drying checks. It has dried 2 years. Is it dry. I would say no. Meter says dry but I cut a limb off side. Sold wood in middle of cut is 15-16%. I assume center of cap is same + or minus. Seems solid. $95 + shipping.last pic is misted. Not planed.

:yipee: I will go out back and ask it..... I bought it out of Ca. Someone i know. Claro. Bought 4 walnut burls. And curly.
 
No problem, I was getting excited as I've been looking for a black walnut eyed burl. I bought one 30 years ago and turned a small platter. It was gorgeous. Had it out - one of the few pieces that was allowed to be displayed - sort of - it was leaning up against the legs of an antique carved rocking horse - facing the wall. When we redid the floors a few years back, it got relocated and have no idea of where it got put - neither does the one who put it away. So been looking for a black walnut burl to replace it.

I have cut both black and claro graft burls. I would be willing to bet i would have a 50/50 shot at telling difference. Now burls up on tree, big difference.
I never advertise claro or black on burls. The wood yes.
You are a sly dog at staying out of trouble. Me, granddaughter tells it best. Me, "Izzy, you got me in trouble" her. Ha, you do not need my help grandpa, you get yourself into trouble?

Black walnut. 1.75 or 2". Looking at rays though. Eyes are going other way. I have more of black. Somewhere.
