I read that a lot of y'all use wipe-on poly.
Is there a brand that most prefer?
Do you apply it on or off the lathe?
How many coats?

I am thinking of using poly for some stuff in the future and would just like some insight.

Thanks
Robert

Honestly Robert, I use Minwax poly straight out of the can. You can buy wipe-on poly or thin it, but I've never had a problem wiping on the regular stuff. I'm still a newbie at turning though, probably should pay more attention to the guys that know what they're talking about. Tony

General Arm-R-Seal it is easy. Why? easily obtainable at Woodcraft. True oil is another one that is nice. I have found WOP to be easy to use- very durable.
