I have some Eastern Red Cedar and figured Black Walnut. I know both of these are plain Jane stuff but I am willing to send them to somebody in trade for a few pens made from it. My daughter is graduating next month and would like to give them to her. If anyone is interested, pm me. I just want the walnut pen to have some figure. I can give sizes of what I have if someone is interested. Thanks.

The walnut is 7/8sq X 14, 1 1/4sq X 5 up to 8 1/2. Cedar is 1 1/4sq X 6 7/8 & 13's and 15/16sq X 7 1/4.

I have no idea about style of pen. Something for a young lady. Not flashy, just something special for my only baby girl that's not a baby anymore! They grow up so fast!!!:old: This is me from what she says. Ha-ha

The smaller Cedar and walnut should be dry enough. The bigger Cedar may need to dry longer. I haven't gotten my moisture meter yet.

I just looked at pen kits. I like the slimline kit in silver and one in black. I think walnut with silver and cedar with black. Are they hard to do? I may need to get one to carry for work. They are pretty sweet.

I just have gotten a lathe and just messing with scraps to learn technique. It will be a long while before I could do pens if ever!

I moved this here.....carry on.

Thanks. Sorry for the wrong forum. Still learning where everything goes. Lou and I have made a deal but willing to make another deal of the same to someone else.
