I love to sand!

I like the feel of the wood when it goes from rough 80 or 150 grit on the way to 800 to 1000 grit.
After each grit I feel how soft the wood its. I always put a little water on every object I turn to raise any fibers and then I continue sanding.

Lately or the last 6 months I put on Deft exterior oil with UV inhibitors let it dry and then I seal all of my turnings with Shellac of whatever color I think looks best for the wood. I then either leave it or put on WIP.

I don't mind sanding either....unless it's drywall sanding. I hate that.

I'm too picky when it comes to sanding wood. I like to get everything as smooth as possible.
If my fingers squeak when I rub em on the wood, that usually is a good sign I got it smooth.

Arlin let me know when you and the Missus are ready to move to Texas. We have an empty guest house near the shop with free room and board. :yipee:
You will have to do better then that

I want my own shop of 3000sf and it fully stock with all the Exotic wood and all the American woods with 10 tons of burl and big leaf maple. :haggle: unless you think I am
