There is a turner here in the Springs that has created a carved style and he is becoming very well known including being on the cover of Woodturners Magazine. You have done an incredible style. Will look Vinny up and come back and edit this post with his info.

Two more fantastic pieces!
The one with the leaves is beautiful and wonderfully done, but my eye keeps going back to look at the "scales". I can't tell if the depth of the scales is from carving or coloring, and that adds to the appeal. To my eye, it looks like the armor emerging from the skin of some ancient reptile.

I have seen some of his work posted on the AAW forum and love what he creates.

No sanding. All carved, then wood burned.
I appreciate it. I stopped sanding a long time ago when I noticed I could save time, money and get a better finish by blade finishing.
